There is no trick in this question. Just use the formula for resolving power of an objective (here is telescope).
$R = \frac{1}{\delta \phi} = \frac{D}{1.22 \lambda}$

Hence, $D = 1.22 \lambda / \delta \phi = \frac{1.22 (600 \mbox{ nm})}{3 \times 10^{-5}} = \frac{ 1.22 \times 600 \times 10^{-9} \mbox{ m}}{3 \times 10^{-5}}$

Number here is quite simple, so no need for approximation, $D = 2.42 \times 10^{-2} \mbox{ m} = 2.42 \mbox{ cm}$

The closest answer is (B).

The correct answer is therefore (B), 42 of 100 people answered this question correctly.
